Repeat Prescriptions

A computerised repeat prescription scheme is in operation.

The practice needs 48 hours notice for repeat prescriptions. 

Prescriptions can be sent to our local chemist for collection if this is more convenient.

Housebound & over 65 year old patients can ring 01772 323021 between 10:00am - 12.30pm, Monday to Friday.

You may also order online by following the link Log in - NHS App Online (service.nhs.uk)  You will need to register the first time you use this service.

Medication Reviews

We have several Pharmacist's in practice if you need medication advise or a medication review you can book on-line with one of our Pharmacist's.  It is recommended that you review your medications at least once a year, a notification will appear on your prescription repeat slip when this is due.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

Patients with diabetes, epilepsy, hypoparathyroidism or continuing physical disability or are undergoing cancer treatment are excempt from prescription charges. Please ask for a FP92A or Applicaiton for free prescription form at reception.

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.

We offer a repeat dispensing service to patient's who are stable on long term medication. 

If you are taking 6 items or less & are stable on your medication, then we can send 6 x one months worth of prescription's to your nominated chemist for collection on a monthly basis, no more forgetting to order your prescription.

6 to 12 months medication reviews must take place whilst on this scheme.
