Home Visits

If you require a home visit please telephone the surgery in the morning, if possible before 10am, to allow the clinical team to plan their visits for the day.

Doctor's bagA doctor or nurse clinician may phone you before visiting, to decide if your medical needs can be managed over the telephone or if you require hospital admission.

If your needs of care can not be managed over the telephone a doctor or clinical nurse practitioner will visit you at home.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Our doctors typically see four patients in the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit.  For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the practice if at all possible.
